I needed to know what was wrong with my Jeep Liberty CRD as I had a water leak and it showed up in my exhaust. Normally I would have to say I have a head gasket problem, but I haven't had any other symptoms of a blown head gasket, none. So this test suite came up and I tried it, I'm very glad I did. There was no exhaust in my cooling system, which allowed me to find the real culprit, an EGR cooler leak. A simple solution that has saved me thousands of diagnostic errors. Since my car was a diesel I wanted to make sure the gauge worked properly with a diesel engine, it says it works but you know what it's like. With the car running, I tried the exhaust on the tailpipe and immediately got the answer: Yes, it runs on diesel, it turned green.
