Review on MICTUNING Heavy Inline Trailer Junction by Clint Fick

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Much better than expected

Not many reviews but felt I had to write about it. I added backup lights and 12v wires to a 5ft x 8ft cargo trailer and needed to connect them through my 7 pin plug. At first I just bought the end to go ahead and connect the cable but then I saw this and I liked the junction box not just to connect to the plug. I was expecting it to be the usual low quality Chinese import junk that would still serve my purpose, but this thing far exceeds what I expected even though it IS a Chinese import. Well-built, sturdy plastic construction with multiple possible cable entry points, strong large screws to attach the top and a few (more than needed) grommets to seal extra holes. Internal strain relief in each hole. The connector is strong, sticks to the cable's outer material and the cable is much more flexible than I thought it would be - soft enough to spin an 8" coil even in cool weather (45-50º). There's plenty of room inside for a few connections if needed and the bolts held up well for some tightening. Nice solid connection to the truck socket.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Hard to say
