I purchased this specifically to replace the cover of the cat perch that is mounted under the window. Better than what I could find at the fabric store and cheaper too! I purchased some elastic banding and sewed it onto the edge after I cut the rug into the shape I wanted. I made it a tad bit smaller than the cover that came with the perch so it fitted tighter making it less likely to come off. I've washed it and hung it to dry in the sun and it is like new. **One tip though, brush it to get the majority of hair off of it before putting it in the washer. I was afraid to put it into the dryer though. I hung it in the sun and it was dry it a couple of hours. I will be buying more of these to replace cat bed covers since they seem to love it. Highly recommend!
