I'm restoring a 1974 Chevy pickup that weighs 4100 pounds curb and I've been waiting to see how much easier it would be to get around. with these skates. The chassis, engine, transmission and sheet metal are up-to-date. No interior, no liquids, no glass, so at least a few hundred pounds lighter. The floor in the garage is flat and smooth and I just covered it with epoxy to keep it nice and smooth. The first time I tried to move my truck on it, I knocked it off one of the casters as the casters refused to turn in the right direction. After jacking it up and putting the skate back under the wheel, I used a ratchet strap to hold the tires in place. I have to use another truck and a belt to pull the truck forward and a hand winch to pull it back. I ended up installing an anchor point in the garage floor for the winch. All in all, it did little to help me move my truck! As mentioned, they might be great for a small car/ATV/UTV, but they won't fit a full size car, even if it's 2,000 pounds lighter than their maximum weight rating!
