Review on Sunnyside Corporation 87332 Pure Raw Linseed Oil: Quality Quart for Superior Wood Preservation by Tammy Cooley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

They had faded to a sweat and looked like they were ready to be recycled back into.

This is exactly what I needed. After reading all the positive reviews, I decided to give raw flaxseed oil a try. I have garden furniture that consists mainly of branches. The seller told me to treat them with raw linseed oil every two years - that was 10 years ago. They were faded to white and looked like they could be sent back to the forest. I remembered the Linseed Oil review and bought a can without expecting much. Now the furniture is like new! However, this wasn't a quick weekend project, so this product is not for those looking for quick results. The oil seeps out very slowly and is fully absorbed within days, not hours. The first coat was absorbed after about 2 days because the wood was very dry. The second coat will take a few days longer, but if you want to get it right the first time, use this product. The only negative is that I would like to take a before and after photo.

Pros
  • Slow drying, up to 2-4 days to allow the oil to penetrate deep into the wood
Cons
  • Fading
