The BEST place for stuff that doesn't fit in the trunk!

Traveled with 7 people from Texas to North Dakota and back. 3 adults and 4 children under 10 years old need a lot. My minibus is great for everyone but no room for luggage. I bought it, strapped it to the roof, loaded it up and left. It contained 2 children's suitcases, a large trolley, 2 large duffel bags and 2 small duffel bags with extra space. I now have side rails on my minivan so I used the handles as an extra way to attach the bag to the roof and close it where I had the zip ties. This was more so that the displacement was minimal. All our luggage was in the trunk upstairs. This left very little room behind the 3rd row for toys, jackets and those odd things you bring with the kids on a long trip. Drive at 85-90 km/h. Yes, I was too fast, but couldn't you with so many people? The hardest part was unzipping it, my arms just aren't long enough to zip up the back of the van. A simple fix, a zippered wire hanger and a pull, uncomfortable yes, but hardly a deal breaker. Now waterproof. Yes, it's waterproof, that doesn't mean it's waterproof. It was empty on the roof, a storm broke out, water got in, no, we didn't drive, we just parked at the hotel. Easy to fix, wipe off the water before loading. Unless you have problems with hard luggage or waterproof duffel bags the water wasn't enough to get your stuff wet, but if you don't have those bags I'd say a heavy thunderstorm will get your stuff wet. I would highly recommend this product and am very grateful we had it. otherwise we would be sitting on our luggage on a 2500 mile journey.
