Collects sweat and water
This protects the watch. However, plan for frequent removal to remove sweat and water that may get between the screen and screen protector. and yes the tread is all scratched and looks crappy and even the new one looks like crappy plastic. And it interferes with using the screen. If you use the screen a lot or want to look good, take it off. It's really easy to take it off and put it back on. But if you're working on something or just walking around day after day and accidentally break your watch, don't lose your watch's finish. like i did
