Review on Stylish and Compact Frenchi Home Furnishing Plant Stand for Small Spaces by Therealwesley Shaw

Not as good as the reviews say

I bought this stand because it was cheap and got good reviews. However, it differed from the reviews. For example, there were no metal brackets, small screws, or extra parts in the hardware package, just four bolts, four large screws, and four washers. The assembly instructions were halved and I only received the top half. But I could find them on one of the pictures in the product listing. Easy enough to assemble with a screwdriver. I left the screws a bit loose at first and tightened them up after all the screws and bolts were in. This made it easier to insert the floor. Only one of the places to attach the legs at the top was tight. Slits were visible on the other three legs. There was no felt on the bottom of the legs, just uneven wood that could have scratched my floor. I attached some self-adhesive felt strips I had on hand. The color was mahogany red, very reddish, not the dark brown in any of the pictures. The finish has not been applied perfectly as one edge is missing the red mahogany and appears white. Note that mahogany refers to the color, not the material. The material was some artificial wood. It seems strong enough to hold a 5-10 lb object on it. I wouldn't put anything really heavy on it. However, it served my purpose, which was to have an inexpensive table to put the mail on before carrying it up or down. That's why I put two stars instead of one and have not returned.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions
