Poor manufacturing quality control
4 pre-drilled bolt holes to attach the filter base to the airbox are very off center 1.5m This caused the bolts to tear off the brass inserts. While this prevents unfiltered air from entering the engine, a fair amount of engine air is bypassed, effectively removing "coldβ air from the cold air intake. Due to the lack of precise understanding of how this happened, the filter base appears to have decreased by 5% overall.
