Tried several different designs of carpet scissors but it seemed like it was taking forever to cut each square meter. I thought about giving up my project. My rug is a Berber rug that curls like hair when using a hand knife, but has NEVER tangled or stopped cutting. It's not difficult and will cut through a 1,700 square foot carpeted house in 1/2 a day. For a single woman trying to do it herself, it was magical! I'm so glad I got this. Worth every penny. In a week. OK. I should add that there was one room left and it suddenly felt hot to the touch and was slow to use. Wanted to keep it forever because it felt so good at first. Will likely return.
