Installation couldn't be simpler (Toyota Avalon 2017). I parked the car and took out my native micro SD card (I needed a small screwdriver to pry open the card cover, it opens like a book with the back cover to the left). Removed old card, inserted new one and restarted machine. The screen recognized that new software was available and instructed me to turn the device off and then back on to begin the installation. The software will download in less than 10 minutes, with a progress bar to let you know the progress. After the installation everything worked fine. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that the cards are dated 04-2019, so a year and a half old. This may be the latest update, I don't know, but it predates the original maps by three years. It doesn't require any special skills or tools to install and appears to cost a lot less money than dealership shipping and a lot easier.
