In evaluating Gosky's monocular, I would suggest discussing two aspects: first, the monocular as a lens that allows you to see far away, and second, the ability to attach it to the fasten iPhone (in all honesty in advertising). The monocular is amazing and takes that far closer. It doesn't have parallax (it's a monocular), but it's lightweight, easy to carry, and waterproof so you can take it anywhere. The lenses work very well, the scene they render is well lit in all but true night conditions, and suddenly you find yourself on a branch with a bird. It's really solid and for that purpose I wholeheartedly recommend this telescope. On the other hand, the mechanism by which it connects to the iPhone is clunky, mechanically cumbersome and doesn't really work. If that's why you're considering getting a monocular, look no further. As soon as I connected the monocular to the iPhone, the image compressed and immediately disappeared as the mechanism failed and the monocular detached from the phone. I only took off one star (advertising makes it easy. I'd be impressed, but I'm not thrilled) because the iPhone couldn't get a good review. But without that in the ad it would have been a five star product. If you're looking for a great way to see from a distance that doesn't cost much, weighs a lot or has to carry a lot of extra luggage, I can warmly recommend this monocular.
