These brushes are more "water soluble" than "watercolor brushes". I have both types and there is a difference. Both types are fun to work with and are no exception and of good quality. The included stickers make it easy to tell what color you see inside the case, but use fine-tipped tweezers to apply them. and then gently tap it with the eraser at the end of the pencil. You'll be tearing your hair out without these stickers because, like almost any other marker, these markers don't match the caps very well. Many thanks to the manufacturer for providing these stickers! I made my own color chart using the blank they provide on the back of their numbered color chart. This allowed me to arrange the markers in the case to my liking and match them to the color chart for easier use. I love that these markers can be stacked on top of each other to deepen the color. In the chart you will see the color with one pass on the right and then gradually increase the number of levels on the left where the color is darkest. These markers work well on standard paper, but shine particularly well when used on high-quality multicolored printing paper or watercolor paper. Try shading by painting on a porcelain palette and then transferring to paper with a wet brush - you'll get great results! You can combine this method with drawing directly on paper with markers. I give an overall rating of five stars and would highly recommend them, however I deducted one star from the gift variant because the case itself was slightly damaged/cracked and there were some marks smeared on the barrels with some type of machine oil which caused this they looked dirty and unwashable. The photos show one of the dirty markers for reference. Please note that while these markers are dirty, they are not damaged and will work the same as the others. I think they're just stuck in the car or something. While I'd like the set to be in pristine condition, with the box intact and all the markers clean, these small flaws in an otherwise good marker set won't put me off my sleep.
