I bought this to use as a replacement for the top plastic cutting plate in my Gemini punch. It works exactly as I had hoped. I've been using it for a few weeks now and I'm in Christmas card making mode right now, so it's pretty boring. I keep flipping it over and over and it stays flat with little nicks that are barely visible to the eye. My successful Anna Griffin Stamp Gemini sandwich looks like this, bottom to top: Plastic sheet (flat and undamaged) Metal spacer (flat and undamaged) Plastic spacer (flat and undamaged) Magnetic mat Matrix up Paper down Self-healing mat one step so that saves too time. Each machine is unique so you may need to adjust your sandwich to compensate for the second plastic sheet thickness loss, but I am very happy with the results. I don't expect to have to buy any more replacement plastic pads for my twin, but I did purchase a self-healing replacement pad. ☺One last note: Others have spoken out about the terrible plastic smell of this rug and they were right. It's pretty harmful. When you receive your mat, leave it in the sun for a few days to allow it to release gas and then it will be ok. *Update: I used this mat as a replacement for the top plastic panel in my Gemini Sandwich. within 14 months and it's a huge success. I did not purchase replacement plastic blades and have replaced these 2 times because they will eventually wear out causing the center of the mat to cut less efficiently than the edges. However, the sellers are getting greedy here. When I first bought it on August 18, it cost about $6. At 11/19 it's $13.20! So don't be afraid to try other 9x12 self-healing mats. They should work in the sandwich listed above as long as they are 1/8" or 3mm thick.
