Best die mat for my Gemini die cutter

I have an electric die cutter - a full size Gemini. It turns out that twins are notorious for being quick to ruin cutting mats. Whether I bought their own acrylic cutting mats or self-healing mats, they don't last more than a month. THAT is a clear exception. It keeps its shape and doesn't deform like all the others. I am so grateful! It also provides a good sharp cutting edge for dies.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Garden tools

I've seen a few videos on YouTube that say you can use a self-healing mat in die-cutting machines instead of a clear acrylic sheet. Acrylic will warp over time, but a self-healing mat will last much longer. I tested the clear self-healing mat and I am 1000% thrilled! I use it in my original Gemini electric punch and it works great! The best part is that it left almost no dents on my cutting mat. I also use it with my Xacto knife for other crafts so it has many functions. The mat is not 100%…

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging

Well it's more than just a mat for cutting rotary knives and fabric and working with a utility knife. It should be trimmed about 1/8 inch on each long side or 1/4 in width, maybe a hair more. Depends on whether you want the grid to work centered or not to accommodate patterns, stamps and embossing. It's now thicker than the Spellbinders cutting mat, but not much thicker than the Calibers cutting mat. So keep that in mind. If you use two cutting mats, one for cutting and one for cushioning, you…

Perfect for the Gemini punch

I bought this to use as a replacement for the top plastic cutting plate in my Gemini punch. It works exactly as I had hoped. I've been using it for a few weeks now and I'm in Christmas card making mode right now, so it's pretty boring. I keep flipping it over and over and it stays flat with little nicks that are barely visible to the eye. My successful Anna Griffin Stamp Gemini sandwich looks like this, bottom to top: Plastic sheet (flat and undamaged) Metal spacer (flat and undamaged) Plastic…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No power
