I have an electric die cutter - a full size Gemini. It turns out that twins are notorious for being quick to ruin cutting mats. Whether I bought their own acrylic cutting mats or self-healing mats, they don't last more than a month. THAT is a clear exception. It keeps its shape and doesn't deform like all the others. I am so grateful! It also provides a good sharp cutting edge for dies.

I've seen a few videos on YouTube that say you can use a self-healing mat in die-cutting machines instead of a clear acrylic sheet. Well it's more than just a mat for cutting rotary knives and fabric and working with a utility knife. It should be trimmed about 1/8 inch on each long side or 1/4 in width, maybe a hair more. Depends on whether you want the grid to work centered or not to accommodate patterns, stamps and embossing. I bought this to use as a replacement for the top plastic cutting plate in my Gemini punch. It works exactly as I had hoped.
