A valuable purchase, some advantages!

The lens is a bit dark, but for such a price you should not expect something else, whoever doesn’t like it - let them buy 70-200. If you do not twist it all the way, the pictures are very sharp. In principle, you don’t need to twist up to 300, evaporation from the ground and other air distortions at a great distance will still spoil the frame and the lens will not save. If you just need to look at the bird for yourself, this is not critical of course. It is also treated by closing the diaphragm, etc., but so far it has not been possible to compare. It focuses from 1.5 m, someone may not like it, but I hardly take pictures indoors, so this is not a minus for me. Shooting outdoors can usually get away. In general, the lens is satisfied. And for nature and for portraits - excellent.

Pros
  • 1) Very good stabilizer! 2) So far I have not found a single significant chromatic aberration in the pictures, this is very pleasing. Especially after whale 18-55 and compared to 35 1.8 3) Focuses accurately. 4) I really like bokeh.
Cons
  • 1) It eats a battery well, but it lasts for a day if you turn off the stub when it is not really needed.
