The first pair of SteelSeries headphones I owned suddenly lost their steam and started playing very quietly after two years of use (wired steelseries arctis 3). I chose those headphones because of the quality of the microphone; however, the sound itself is merely average and does not have anything particularly noteworthy about it. Various pros: Discord has an in-built noise reduction profile for these headphones, which means that even though I have a TV turned on two meters behind me, I can't hear it while I'm on a call with someone. Sound and microphone quality are both average and normal, and the noise reduction is very good. These are some downsides: A relatively lengthy USB receiver is required in order to connect to a personal computer; this configuration is not ideal for usage with a laptop in terms of ergonomics.
