I bought two of these, one for the CoStar label printer and one for the Canon MP780 multifunction printer. The first IoGear print server was regularly detected on my local network and after spending a lot of time trying to determine if I was doing something wrong I connected a second server which was detected immediately and reliably. So, lesson number one, as others have written, is that these aggregates can be faulty. I then found that I could use it as a print server fairly reliably with both CoStar and Canon. However, I just couldn't fully utilize the IoGear as I can print with it but not scan or fax. The device freezes both when scanning and when sending a fax. IoGear tech support said that if I reinstalled printer drivers etc while IoGear was active, this issue would be resolved, but that was not the case. So if you're looking for a USB print server, as long as the IoGear isn't broken, it works. But I'm less confident it will work to support full feature set over LAN.
