Review on ๐Ÿšฝ Walex Porta-Pak RV Black Tank Deodorizer Drop-Ins: Fresh Scent, Pack of 10 โ€“ Efficient Odor Control for RV Holding Tanks by Brian Olson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is the only product that works great with a Class B cassette toilet

I've tried so many different black tank additives. The first one I tried was Thetford's Aqua-Kem which is really good but I'm skeptical about long term use as it contains formaldehyde. The second one I tried is the Valterra V23102 Blue Pure which is strong but its bottle doesn't close well for liquids and the strong smell will fill the entire limited space of the RV unless you put it in an airtight one Container. The third one I tried was Happy Camper in powder form. It breaks down well, but is odorless and doesn't have good odor control, at least for a cassette toilet. The fourth product I've tried is Camco TST Orange Scent RV Toilet Ultra Concentrate which just can't last more than 5 days. If you drop the cassette tank every 2-3 days I think everything should work just fine. And finally Walex TOI-91799 Porta-Pak liner pouch. The aroma is able to cover the aquarium and last for a very long time. They are well sealed in the packaging and save a lot of space compared to other forms. I will stick with it for long term use and sometimes I can use Aqua-Kem when cleaning.

Pros
  • Prepackaged portion control - no spills
Cons
  • Minor issues
