I'm not sure I would use them to clean towels unless what you're cleaning is dry and dusty. They'd be great for dusting, but for more complex messes like kitchen clutter, they just don't have the handle or the teeth. They absorb very well and clean up spills very well if you just want to replace paper towels for wet messes. But for my own purposes I put them in the bathroom cabinet to serve as bath towels. They are incredibly soft and I couldn't imagine putting them in the kitchen where they are so much better for my sensitive skin. I can't take a star off for that though, it's just personal preference and I understand that. They are well made and came in a very nice pair of mesh gift bags. They make a VERY great housewarming, wedding or baby shower gift. The color also corresponds to the pictures. If you can get excited about little rags, I'd say I appreciate these! :)
