Review on Flowtron BF-150 Replacement Bulb for BK-80D, FC7600 & Wall Sconce Models by Ashley Martinez

I have had a Flowtron BK-80D since the beginning of last summer 2014 and now both bulbs have to be replaced. The first failed about 2 months after purchase. The second was about a week ago on 7/2015. The BF-150 bulb I ordered this year did not fit the socket because the four pins were two large ones. So I ground the pins and the pear fitted. I also noticed that when I first bought my BK-80D last year, the lamp tips turned orange instead of blue. So I flipped the bulbs over and put them in and they both glowed solid blue. It doesn't say anywhere that the bulbs have to point in any particular direction, but mine doesn't have quite the blue glow. The names Flowtron, made in China, have to go hand in hand. Am I the only one having this issue or is it just my Flowtron? Another problem is that mine doesn't attract mosquitoes. I had a Flowtrom about 15 years ago and you could hear and see the Flowtron attracting mosquitoes all night. You couldn't get to the old Flowtron either because it was surrounded by mosquitoes. So I bought the Flowtron again, but this new one doesn't attract mosquitoes. I don't know if we have a new species of mosquito that the Bug Light doesn't attract or if the new Flowtron doesn't work like the old one I had. I also have a 3 acre Flowtron BK-15D and it doesn't attract mosquitoes either. Mosquitoes seem to laugh at both. Haha!
