Good design and great lighting

I liked my first one so much I bought a second one. These are excellent diffusers that are very easy to set up and use. It produces a very even cone of illumination suitable for individuals or groups. Now I take them to all sorts of shoots and leave the much more expensive ones in my bag. It's basically a giant silver umbrella with a removable front panel (velcro) to soften the light. The lighting stand is inserted into the bottom of the umbrella and the flash, either the candy bar or the flash(s) are placed in the softbox. It's best if you have a Flash Commander/Controller as you don't want to flip up the diffuser plate every time you want to adjust flash output. The advantage of this arrangement becomes apparent when used outdoors โ€“ if the tripod falls, the flash does not hit the sidewalk directly. The only downside to this design is the limited up/down tilt of the softbox. . If necessary, you can install it on the boom and get the required slope. But since the softbox is 120cm/47in in diameter, I found that the spread of light made it unnecessary to bend down. I position the center line slightly above the subject's head and achieve the same effect as using a smaller softbox with a back-mounted flash. Is it a good deal? High marks for build quality and utility.
