I wanted a small and light monocular to carry in my mtn bike backpack. Small and light is what I wanted. There are some that cost around $60 and I would buy them if they weighed no more than 6 ounces due to the rubber armor. Which seems stupid. I have a pair of 10x25 Bushnell Legend HD which are fantastic! But 8 ounces just for carrying around is too much to add to my already heavy bike backpack. I wanted 2 ounces but decided on 4 ounces. For $25 I got a useful scope that will live in my backpack for occasional use.
