Review on Sling Media SB500 100 Slingbox 500 by Marlin Atonyo

If I were basing this review on the technical aspects of this product I would probably give it 4 stars. I have a few issues that I've been trying to fix. I'm really not sure if the problems are the result of my hardware or theirs. Overall, however, the product works as advertised. But there are other factors that influence a customer's experience with a product. And when a company makes an open and unconditional attempt to alienate its customer base, it can really spoil the experience. Sling recently released an update for the desktop app. For some incomprehensible reason, they decided to embed ads in the application. Instead of a sleek, compact interface that lets you watch TV on your PC, there's a bloated, bright window with not one (1) but two (2) ad slots. Therefore, it seems that buying their product is just the cost of entry. If you want to use the product, it will cost more. And that's what you as a potential buyer should know before you make a decision. The Slingbox forum is littered with complaints from other users, but as of this writing, I haven't seen a response from Sling. Not even protection. Therefore, they either don't know or aren't interested in their users' feedback. More proof of your purchase decision.
