I have a 1989 Mazda Miata NA6. The gearing was stuck in the rear so I had to replace the backup derailleur. What I pulled wasn't the original, but the "protrusion" on the end of the old one was bigger than this, which is probably what caused the problem. This went smoothly and the terminated ends matched the stock wiring perfectly. Couldn't be happier with how easy the R/R was. No extra washer was supplied so make sure not to use it on your drive train.
