I'm renovating my bathroom and need to replace a toilet flange that got rusty from improper installation 20 years ago! I wanted to use an existing PVC plumbing fitting that requires a clamshell flange. Multiple options are available, but this flange sits flush with the surface and mates with the bolt holes. Most connect at the bolt slots and are therefore raised at that point. I need to install a spacer to get the finished floor the correct height once the tiles are in place. Also, the screw holes are not placed as usual, allowing you to screw the flange into the new wood.
