these clamps are very strong, they clamp everything that won't let go! I didn't know I had a weak grip until I tried to keep these things open! If you have pre-arthritis like me then this isn't really for you. But I have to say that it does exactly what it's supposed to do (keep things in place), it can be used in many applications around the house, it's handy and it can be very useful!
