I have found that no matter how hard a person works to ensure that the legs of a bench or cabinet are the same, there is no guarantee that the surface that the object is resting on is level have length. They worked great for leveling my workbench. I also have retractable casters on my workbench, but we all know that when moving items, the surface isn't always flat. cannot work on an unstable surface; This allows them to adjust very quickly and create a stable work surface no matter where I move the table.*** One thing to note. I did not use the screws that came with the casters as I found them to be too short to secure my project (which had 4x4" legs). But as an easy fix I just used longer 3" wood screws and it's super tough. ***
