Personna's double-edged platinum super stainless steel blades have given me a smooth, scratch-free shave with my Merkur razor. They seem to stay sharp for a week if shaved multiple times a day. although I rinse and rotate the blade every time I shave. I could do without the extra packaging that comes with the 10 blade dispenser packs, but some people may need it to safely dispose of their used blades. (I use a slot in my first aid kit that fits in a wall cavity.) I will never go back to "modern" multi-blade disposable razors because this system provides a better shave at a MUCH lower annual cost.
