NOT all HDPE in the food warehouse

Like almost everything from China these days. This is absolute rubbish. The containers themselves are not airtight. They rely on a fragile inner lining NOT made of HDPE. I bought these to remove grease from my bike chain before waxing, fill one with gas and put two chains in. I let them soak overnight and when I came back to them the next day and got a container to give them a good wipe the gas seeped from the top onto the floor and onto me. I opened the tightly sealed lid and the inner lid completely warped and no longer covered the container. What's the point of making a container out of HDPE and then using an inferior plastic that makes it impervious to liquids?
