These are true liter containers in a shape that is hard to find. I use them to make yogurt, they hold full capacity and fit in a yogurt maker. Also ideal for making a liter of ice cream. I bought these glasses to store homemade ice cream. They're perfect for a batch. The jars have an inner lid that fits snugly onto the jar and then a screw top lid is slid onto the top to secure the whole thing. I have stored ice for several weeks with no problems. These are great ice cream containers; I have an ice cream maker for Christmas so I played with it a bit. I've used glass ice cream containers, but I really needed something better.
