When I took out my NEW pool cover this year, I found that the mice liked the makeshift shelter and ate holes in my $2,500 cover. I was glad to know that there is an easy fix. Despite having to put it through the harsh New York state winter, my first month showed no signs of aborting. I would like to add that I found the holes the day the pool was closed and installed the cover before I found this solution. As a result, I was NOT able to install on either side in some places other than the pool edge. Hopefully this doesn't affect long-term success and I'll apply when the cover comes off in the spring - many months from now.
