Review on Hunter Dempsey Low Profile Ceiling Fan with LED Light and Remote Control - Enhanced Indoor Air Circulation and Convenient Control by Daniel Teller

Great fan but turns off randomly

I liked the first one so much I ended up installing two new fans total and then went back and replaced the other two. I was literally in a Hunter Dempsey Band car, on a freight train, singing praises, feeling love, and perfectly pleased with myself for having spent a fortune replacing excellent ceiling fans that I just didn't want to see anymore. and the fan went off for a second or two. Damned. I must have connected something wrong. So I go back to this fan and check everything. All is well. It only turns itself off two or three times an hour, completely randomly. Come on, it's just a fan. The other three are fine. Flash. Well shit. Now it's two! I'll be using this fan all the time and can't keep it off like this so I'll just swap out the lighting modules. Flash. So these weren't lighting modules. Hm. Okay, I'll take the two apart and swap the green remotes. I've never seen this fan flash before. blinking Flash. Well crap. And so on in the same spirit, so far I have not one, not two, not three, but FOUR such fans, all blinking randomly. Shit. I wish I had just left the two I replaced alone, and on all four I wish I could just go with tension chains. My intuition tells me this is questionable electronics in green boxes with a remote receiver. What else COULD be? Sigh. I really like my Hunter fan with tension chains, but all these four quirky, modern-looking homeworkers turned out to be a problem for me to solve rather than a source of exciting renovation joy. Sigh. UPDATE: In less than a year, the original fan went from a nuisance to a useless light fixture. The voltage at the sockets drops. The only lightbulb I have that lights seems to be dimmable and is very, very dim.
