maybe it will help a craftsman like me. In the 15 years that I've lived permanently in my 32 foot Bounder, I've added 4 batteries, 4 solar panels and an inverter; Replaced the converter, water pump, fridge circuit board, faucet and old TV with a 40" HDTV, repaired several water leaks and re-sealed the EDPM roof. When the toilet stopped holding water in the bowl I was confident that I could replace the gaskets. Before ordering this kit I watched a YouTube video that made the job look easy. But after opening the repair box I was disappointed with the instructions. The first step was simply to "take the mechanism apart". Removing the toilet was a difficult task due to access issues with the mounting screws. Then it was a chore to find all the screws to remove the mechanism from the base of the toilet. And finally, it was almost impossible to disassemble the mechanism. The moving metal parts are attached under tension with a couple of screws and a couple of springs. There is a diagram of each plastic component with corresponding seals. But there is no diagram of the disassembled metal parts. A call to Thetford doesn't help. They dress I don't have a diagram of this mechanism, just plastic parts. So don't expect any help from them. Step 2 says "Remove and discard all seals." However, there are no restrictions to ensure you can identify the correct replacement seal. And the new seals are not branded to match the corresponding plastic component. on the chart. A job that I thought would take a few hours at most turned into an 8 hour project. And that makes the mechanics run smoother, but the new seals don't have to have fitted. it's still flowing! I would recommend buying the entire mechanism from Revain for another $80 (Thetford 33213 Aqua Magic Galaxy & Starlite Mechanism Assembly) or just replacing the entire toilet.
