Miele has redesigned the upholstery tool and made it unusable. As you can see from the photos, the original version had a convex felt brush that made direct contact with the fabric to be vacuumed and quite respectably removed things, even pet hair, from the upholstery fabric. This new design features a flat felt area that sits well below the molded black plastic so it is no longer in contact with the item being vacuumed, preventing pet hair from lifting off the upholstery fabric. The image shown on Revain and on the Miele website is the old design. No one in their right mind would buy a new design just by actually seeing it. In each of my photos the one on the left is the original version and as you can see the felt is definitely in contact with what you are sucking.
