Works when it wants.

I'm running this on Windows 10 on a Ryzen based system with an Asus motherboard and it just doesn't work. It worked right out of the box with no need to install drivers, great! nope After one or two device connections, I suddenly found that no devices connected to it were recognized. When I plug something in, the device recognizes it, but it soon disconnects for no apparent reason. I don't even use any power-hungry devices, just a USB-C SD card reader. I found a driver download (they only come with a CD, who else has a CD drive?) and installed them. The same thing. It worked for a few minutes, after which the hard drive spontaneously disappeared. The thing just doesn't work.

Pros
  • There's something there
Cons
  • Expensive insurance
