I wouldn't say it's a day/night difference because it's really based on how you as the dog trainer/owner interact with the k9 and the collar. The first day we spent time on the ground floor showing my two 7 month old 55 lb German Shepherds how to press pressure points and what they need to do to release them. We were successful and treated them with respect throughout the process without pulling or making them uncomfortable. Once we "walked" outside, they would puff a lot less, and if they needed a gentle reminder, a few puffs and they were right next to us. I have long haired German Shepherds and would recommend 3.0 over 2.0.
