SSD is what you need when building a new computer. Windows 7 boots twice as fast as my WD Black drive. The only problem I've had with this drive is trying to reinstall the image using Acronis. I learned the hard way that you must use the OCZ Linux based boot CD (available on their website - [.]) to securely erase the drive before re-imaging, otherwise the drive will go DIRT SLOW. Windows score is down to 5.5 after imaging current install.. After secure erase, then imaging, back to 7.6!.. and I'm running the drive from a SATA 3 port (instead of a 6GB SATA ports) so I don't even get full speed. Your motherboard supports AHCI mode (in HDD mode, in BIOS) for proper drive operation. If your system doesn't support AHCI (usually older than 4 years), check out OCZ Vertex 2.
