Outstanding performance. Very satisfied

Update November 16, 2012: Although the drive is still working properly, the plastic wrap is peeling off the drive label. Excessive heat? I'm not sure but when I tried to remove the part of the laminate that was curling I found the serial numbers were on it too! It appears to be a two piece template, the manufacturer's model and capacity are listed on the disc. itself, but the serial number is on the laminate. I don't know what it means. Why can the serial number be removed? Do I have a gray…

Haters will hate! This is a great SSD

I bought this drive for $55 which is a lot for a 128GB SSD. I used an external hard drive enclosure to clone my current hard drive to an SSD. Unfortunately, OCZ does not include cloning software. However, if you are using a Western Digital/Maxtor or Seagate drive, you can download Acronis True Image WD Edition or Seagate Discwizard respectively; both are based on Acronis True Image and allow you to clone your current hard drive. After cloning the drive, I started Windows and ran the Windows…

Judging by the rating I like it!

I bought this disc to use with a bare bones set I put together about a year ago. I use it for my system drive. With my AMD A10-5800K processor, the Windows 8.1 Update boot time is around 30 seconds compared to the 45 seconds that Windows 8 took. My system is also very responsive when loading and switching between programs. This is definitely something everyone should think about if they want a truly responsive system. I went with 128GB because it was the best I could afford at the time. Now I'm

fast and affordable Solid State Drive!

I don't understand why they say this is a slow ride. Your PC/Laptop probably does not support SATA. IIII didn't bother to test the drive after installing it in my MacBook Pro in early 2011. This is at least three times faster than a standard 750 GB 5400 rpm drive. That's all that matters to me. My SSD already had the latest firmware. No need to update. Many people here clone their old hard drive to new SSD. No wonder they complain about slow work. The hard drive needs to be repartitioned and…

FAST Electronics: Internal Solid State Drives

SSD is what you need when building a new computer. Windows 7 boots twice as fast as my WD Black drive. The only problem I've had with this drive is trying to reinstall the image using Acronis. I learned the hard way that you must use the OCZ Linux based boot CD (available on their website - [.]) to securely erase the drive before re-imaging, otherwise the drive will go DIRT SLOW. Windows score is down to 5.5 after imaging current install.. After secure erase, then imaging, back to 7.6!.. and…

Crashes after less than 60 days of use.

First, the item was poorly packaged and shipped via USPS (Postal Mail) in a thin plastic bag with thin bubble wrap around it. IMHO, a useless way to protect my product in transit. I had to force Windows 7 to boot from the hard drive as it didn't like the boot block or something. After three attempts to create and delete partition maps, it booted. I reinstalled Windows 7 Pro on it. The drive is fast and has been working fine from 10/04/2012 to today 11/29/2012, in fact a few days ago it started…

Good speed boost

When I switched from traditional hard drives, I was excited to see how much improvement switching to SSD would bring. The recent spate of OCZ discount offers has made it hard for me to resist at least trying something new. out. I was very surprised by the small hard drive size. I had to buy a 2.5" adapter to fit my existing hard drive case. Before moving everything to the new OCZ drive, I used Macrium Reflect to create a backup image that I stored on an external USB drive. After installing OCZ,

very happy for the price i paid.

I really wanted 512 GB, no less than 512 GB. For this reason I took 512GB instead of 480GB, but after formatting it was 474GB (!). Still worth it for the price I paid and the cost of ownership is better than the Samsung drive. There is 220 MB/s for writing via SATA III. Why should I pay 50% more for Samsung hard drives? I installed SAP ECC on my laptop which took 2 hours but this install took 10 hours on a regular hard drive which is what I wanted regardless of samsung or ocz. If life…

OCZ Agility 4 128GB

Ordered twice on September 7th and received on September 13th with Super Economy Shipping. Couldn't resist the low price of $54.99. I was aware of the issues with the drive before I bought it and figured I could either return it or RMA it back until I got a good drive if I had any issues. The first thing I did was search the OCZ forums for more information on the latest firmware. OCZ has released version 1.5.2. After downloading the OCZ toolkit I was able to confirm that both drives came with…
