Review on Ceiling 3 Blade Control Function Bedroom by Debbie Jones

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice but not controllable with standard fan switches; Can be noisy if skin is not wetted

Nice fan. Runs quietly when installed correctly. Any vibration is transmitted to the fairing and ceiling, so a little dampening (soundproofing based on butyl glue or similar) keeps this in check. If I use it in the bedroom, it may not work. A little too much engine noise. The only real disappointment is that this fan cannot be controlled with a simple fan switch. It doesn't rotate when power is applied - you have to use the remote control. The remote control is critical. If you lose it, you need another one right away. I'm a home automation freak, so I ended up buying a Bond hub that can learn RF commands from a remote control, which in turn can be connected to SmartThings and Alexa. Bond appears to be quite nimble, but the learning curve for this remote control is clumsy; I made several attempts before I got anything usable.

Pros
  • Ceiling fans and accessories
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
