Securing your vehicle to the ground with tire straps is not a new concept. However, this is the first one I've seen for atv/utv. It was pretty easy to install. Although I should mention that I spent $35 a pair on stainless steel nuts/bolts/washers. I also bolted my boards to the trailer's cross members. What's so great about these wood attached straps that just screw on? I used 1/4" bolts, 2.5" long, locknuts and washers, 1.25" in diameter. All stainless steel again. If you look at my photo, I needed 48 bolts, 48 nuts and 48 washers plus 8 more bolts, 8 locknuts and 16 washers to attach the boards to the front and back of the blocks. I spent a total of $70 on hardware but made two pairs of pads. My quad is 1200# Canam 1000 xmr. i have used 2 sets based on weight; but also be aware that if I only use 1 pair in the front my trailer will, the rear could slide/bounce to one side or the other when towing and hitting a large bump only used to haul my ATVs and golf cart, so I don't care if they take up a decent amount of my trailer's flat surface, but they won't let me put any larger items on the deck st ellen. I've ridden about 200 miles with this system and it has worked great for my ATV and golf cart. The tires on my quad are 30 inches and there is one belt left.
