Use structural bolts instead of lags.

They are high quality and keep the back of my Honda Rancher from sliding. It's not very convenient to put on the back of a cargo trailer, but I only see a few times when I need to take it off. I used 3 1/4" structural screws instead of lags. as strong or durable as tree trunks. I used my cobalt driver to compress them all which took about 2 minutes total. Also makes removal easy. The only one Downside to this approach is that I rely on the strength of the wood to hold them down, but with 6…

I paid a new price and received a well used and returned product

Excellent product. I liked the first set so much that I immediately ordered a second set for the other two bikes. Very disappointed with the second set as I paid the new price and received a well used set. They were so worn that the paint was worn off in places, they were covered in dirt, and the straps were dirty. Is this some kind of joke or what! I installed them because I was planning an upcoming trip and didn't have time to return them. The photos show how things looked out of the box. The

Good product for tie down straps

Works well. I installed it on my truck, my SXS wheelbase was too long to chock the rear wheels as recommended. I called the manufacturer and they confirmed I can use them for the front tires. They were installed using grade 5 stainless steel bolts, flat washers, lock washers and self-locking nuts. You will find that for a truck at least, it costs more to buy mounting bolts than to buy a mounting kit. I also used 1500-pound ratchet ties on the rear wheels to make sure the SXS couldn't slide or…

Very good quality very satisfied

I haven't installed them yet but I know they will work great and I will update the pictures. Until then, I wanted to address what others have said, the amenities. Nothing comes up, what to do? Well, it does add to the cost, but not as much as some others say. I found some 1/4 x 20 x 2.5 inch hex head screws available in complete sets of 8 for $3.50 here on Amazon. You need to order 3 sets but it only cost $11.50 not $40 like other people said. If I hadn't followed someone's recommendation and…

These things saved my 4 wheels!

***UPDATE**** I've been using them for 2 years now and they work just as well as the first day. I keep the cranks lubed because they can get stuck in the dirt on the go with dirty ATVs at home. As long as they are lubricated, they work perfectly. These bindings proved themselves on their first ride! I bought these to transport my 4 wheels. Regular seat belts will work, but these seem like an easier and quicker solution. I bolted it to my trailer, loaded two Polaris 1000s and another 1000 into…

Attached Can Am Outlander XMR 1000 ATV

Securing your vehicle to the ground with tire straps is not a new concept. However, this is the first one I've seen for atv/utv. It was pretty easy to install. Although I should mention that I spent $35 a pair on stainless steel nuts/bolts/washers. I also bolted my boards to the trailer's cross members. What's so great about these wood attached straps that just screw on? I used 1/4" bolts, 2.5" long, locknuts and washers, 1.25" in diameter. All stainless steel again. If you look at my photo, I…

It took me a long time to buy these.

so far so good! Installed them on my landscape trailer to tie a Husqvarna PZT-54 Zero Turn. The mower weighs 1100 lbs with fuel and these straps hold tight and tight! I used to use 4 ratchet straps around the corners of the mower, but I could feel the "junk" when driving most of the time. Not to mention the time it takes to tie 4 ribbons instead of 2. It is much faster to protect the mower. The ratchet is what I would call carefree. Snaps into place easily. It's easy to let go, but it's not…

Plan your gear accordingly. The rest of the mint is perfect.

Great set for the price. They do NOT include any mounting hardware. I wanted to use stainless hardware to install them on my trailer. Don't buy Lowes stainless steel hardware unless you want to shell out $40 for a set. That's right, the stainless steel hardware cost me more than the price of these beautiful mounting kits. Buy this gear online from Revain of course (I used 1/4" stainless steel bolts, washers and nuts with nylock) or a Country King/Tractor. The kit itself was great! I bought 2…
