Review on BETOOLL Tire Repair Kit: Set of 44 Plugs for Car, Motorcycle, Jeep, RV, ATV, and More by Bob Roberts

Saved me a trip to the repair shop

First problem I came across was the lubricant was completely melted, this was delivered during the summer and it must have been sitting in a hot delivery truck. I cleaned up that mess and let the container sit and it eventually turned solid again. However i had the container upside down so all the lubricant was on the wrong side. So I closed it and ran under hot water, then pushed it down and then it was good.I took the kit outside to my car and parked my car so the screw in my tire was pointing towards the back (this was in the back left tire). I yanked out the screw and prepped the hole with the "cleaning?" tool. This wasn't too bad, it made sure the edges of the hole were cleared of debris. I took the plug tool and put a plug on it and put some lubricant on the tip of it. This is alot harder than they make it look in the pictures. After 15 minutes of trying to get the plug inserted to the tire I noticed that all the pictures show the tire off the car. It would appear that for best leverage, you should remove the tire so you can put your weight on the plug to push into the tire. Well i wasn't about to take my tire off, so I backed up the car carefully so the handle of the tool (still in the tire) just barely touched the ground. I put it in park and then held my hand on the handle to hold it to the ground. I then gently rocked the car back and forth (it moves about 1-2 inches) and each time i rocked it forward I would move the handle a little and the weight of the car would then push the plug into the tire. Work smarter not harder I say! This worked and the plug went in the instructed amount into the tire. I then released the plug and trimmed off the excess. It has now been several months and I have not had any leaks at all.So now that I know how I can do it in the future, this will be really easy to use. Totally worth the price and it has tons of plugs with it. Just don't leave it in a hot car or your lubricant may melt.

Pros
  • Tire & Wheel Tools
Cons
  • The case may not be waterproof and may allow water to damage the tools
