If you need it to write on dark clothing, it will get the job done.
The pen is good but it takes 2-3 times to write on a dark shirt. It takes a few minutes for the pen to work, just hold it down until you see the color and you're done. I use this pen to sign t-shirts (mostly black) of different people and it works very well. Nothing beats a marker on a white shirt, but it gets the job done. The only reason I don't give all 5 stars is that it takes 2 uses to get a good result and the marker gets fuzzy after a while. It also takes a minute or two to start working initially, but that's not really a problem.
