Review on Durable & Dependable: Tuff Truck Bag - Waterproof Heavy Duty Solution by Clayton Morris

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It works as advertised, less than expected but does what it says on the tin.

I had a short trip inland and with a baby and toddler on the trip with an extra family, my trip couldn't be inland with only my expeditionary storage space. I was considering buying a small enclosed trailer for about $2000 and adding a roof rack which meant some assembly and I still had to tie things to my roof to fit everything in and the small clamshell body just wasn't good enough. I have a small 4x8 universal trailer. for odd jobs, so I figured let me find a way to just drag this thing onto our VRBO site and do it without getting our stuff wet. Well after some searching I found this and I'm glad it worked. The bag itself has a rubberized finish with a zipped flap that keeps water out. I left it in the trailer the first night and the next morning it was wet outside from the night rain and morning dew but dry inside so that kind of validated my idea. A big rig suitcase, a smaller wheeled suitcase from Ohio loaded to the brim, 3 backpacks, a small folded 10x10 top, random items like shoes that held everything together during our trip. I have to give it 5 stars but honestly as handy as it was to fit a 4 course meal into one dish. I wish the bag was bigger or at least they sold a bigger bag. As for parking, space in our rental car was limited so I climbed into my trailer to stuff this bag like a duffel bag and for the price I think it's a normal one time purchase for me. This is a more appropriate size for a small truck like a Ranger or Tacoma, maybe even as a bag on a large safari luggage rack if you strap it down well enough. However it worked so no performance complaints and it was literally a one trip item for me so I can't comment on its durability or how it handles many effects but it solved my problem for my trip.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • so far so good
