All six were broken where the metal ends meet the glass tubes. The boxes were in good condition so I can only conclude that the problem was in China where they were made. The idiots at Revain want me to send them back even though they give off toxic mercury fumes. Update: Googled "Contact Revain Customer Service" and was able to get in touch with a live person on chat who, after more than 15 minutes, issued a refund without having to return the broken bulbs. The automated process was useless.
