You can tell by the weight of the box that this carrier came as a set as it is a solid piece of metal. Assembling this carrier is easy. Don't be fooled by messages that say "too many pieces" or too confusing. Without pictures or instructions, the average person could figure this out in 20 minutes, and it comes with pictures and instructions. You will definitely want to use a tow hitch (see pictures).
