Review on Plaid Enterprises Brush Porte Pinceaux CS550324 by Brittany Rodriguez

Just get it. Don't ask questions. Take it. If you're looking at this, you need it. TAKE.

For example, I can't express how different these things make my ink group. Keeping the brushes in the water sometimes caused my pens to smudge (I have cheap brushes and that was one of the reasons why lol). They snapped the bristles and tried to wash the paint off and bah. Nightmare! So I have it. Let me explain why and a little bit about the product for those unfamiliar with it. It's probably a 6 inch square tub. Half of this tub has small indentations in the bottom, resembling a mini washboard. This is where you turn on the water. This washboard-like thing allows you to move your brush back and forth and encourages anyone using the tub to do so lest they have the urge to dunk and crush the brush. The ridges look like they're meant to be used, so I found girls wiggling their brushes without a hint and exclaiming how clean their brushes came out. Made me smile The OTHER side of the tub is for storing the cleaned brushes. This allows excess water to drain downwards while the bristles and especially the handles stay submerged. The grooves on THIS side are designed so that the metal part of the brush sits right inside, preventing the bristles from reaching the bottom of the bucket. Small grooves in the rim on that side allow the handle to rest there, so while it won't snap, it's comfortable and prevents too much side-to-side rocking. I think you can put up to 6 brushes in there at the same time, so you can manage all your color parts. Water becomes cloudy very quickly. Depending on the painting and the size of the painting I'm painting, sometimes I either get a second one with clean water, or if it's just me painting I break and get a glass and pour clean water in it so I can wash in the tub then again wash clear if I want to have a really clean brush for something like that. (That's because I'm a lazy artist and don't want to lift my fat cock to drain the water! But you could ALSO just drain the damn water and refill!)

Pros
  • Bottom grooves help with cleaning
Cons
  • Expensive
