Review on Delta Diamond Extreme 4-1/2-Inch Metal Cutting Diamond Blade: The Ultimate All-Purpose Heavy Duty Grinding & Cut Off Wheel for Rebar, Sheet Metal, Angle Iron & Stainless Steel by David Bott

We mainly use grinding wheels (e.g. Metalco Slicer). Following the manufacturer's specs, we were fed up with DiamondX and basically figured we didn't need to keep changing blades. We cut 1/4" thin steel wire and other mild steel products. The blades cut very slowly to begin with as they are quite thick. This means they have a lot of material to remove. not very long. Maybe 3-4 times more than that Abrasives we used. But not for as long as advertised. After a while the blade just starts to glow red and cuts hotter than it actually does. We also bought a 14" blade which we haven't tried yet . We really wanted to like this product as we were looking for an alternative to traditional steel circular saw blades and grinding wheels. Unfortunately it isn't. Not even close.
