Review on πŸšͺ Dorman 931-327 Rear Passenger Side Door Lock Actuator Motor: Cadillac/Chevrolet/GMC Compatible Models by Nick Grays

Dorman door lock actuator is not working properly.

I drive a working 2007 GMC Yukon XL and last summer the factory installed door lock failed. Research showed that the dealer would charge a lot of money to replace the lock actuator so I searched Revain and found this product. Since I already had the instructions for installing the lock to hand, I ordered the block and installed it myself. I quickly figured out why it wasn't working properly and tested all of the device's connections, finally notifying Revain, who credited her with promptly sending out a new module. As for the second (replacement) door lock actuator, I had it installed by a reputable workshop within the scheduled service interval. Surprisingly, the second lock didn't work properly either (sometimes it would open, but often it would stay locked, requiring someone to open the door from the outside). The shop manager looked at the problem and said the technician fixed it properly; I checked their work and made sure that everything is connected correctly and that the service personnel did not damage the lock drive externally. Due to a busy travel schedule I recently had the opportunity to take my SUV to a GMC dealership and explain to them the problems I was having with the door lock and their technicians diagnosed the problem as a faulty door lock actuator motor and recommended that I it exchange the unit. So, two Dorman 931-327 door locks are broken. Beware of this product.
